We had a nice midweek break in a lodge with a hot tub, and it offered a lot of space and comfort for our family. The welcome touches were a pleasant surprise, but we felt like the dining experience could improve in terms of speed, and the overall price was a bit high given some facilities were still closed.
Rooms
8.0
The lodge was spacious with great amenities including a hot tub and two decent bathrooms, although it was a bit pricey.
Service
7.0
The contactless check-in and communication via text and email were smooth, but the restaurant service was quite slow during our stay.
Location
9.0
The location was lovely, just a short walk from a dog-friendly pebble beach and scenic woodland paths.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was satisfactory, but we had to wait a long time for our meal to be delivered.

The park facilities were good, and my son enjoyed the outdoor pool, although it was limited to 45-minute slots.

We had a decent stay at the park, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. The family-friendly environment was a plus, but we faced challenges with service delays for our son's safety needs, which impacted our first evening. The facilities are great, and there's plenty for younger kids but not much for teenagers. Overall, we would return, but with some reservations about the service responsiveness.
Rooms

The chalet we stayed in was clean and overall nicer than I expected, though it could use more comfort in the beds.
Service

While some staff were helpful, there was a frustrating delay in addressing safety concerns for my son during our first evening.

The chalet was situated in a lovely, quiet area which suited us perfectly, although it was a bit far from the main part of the park.

Our stay at Shorefield was a mix of fun and frustration. The park is huge, offering lots of activities that kept the kids entertained, especially with the warm and clean pool. However, the dining prices felt steep, and we faced several issues with our accommodations that dampened the experience. Overall, it has great potential for families but could use improvements in maintenance and service.
Rooms

We started in a leaking caravan and were moved to a lodge which was nicer but had several maintenance issues, like uncomfortable beds and a faulty dishwasher.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly, we felt neglected when it came to responding to our accommodation issues, especially with the pool and entertainment.
Location
7.0
The location was nice, a bit remote but accessible to nearby attractions and a five-minute drive to larger grocery stores.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were available but quite pricey for what was offered, making it less appealing for families looking to eat out.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were good, especially the pool, but there were maintenance concerns like broken tiles in the Jacuzzi.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway during a heatwave at Shorefield. The caravan we stayed in was brand new and immaculate, providing the most comfortable experience. Although the prices at the bar/restaurant were a bit high and some holiday park atmosphere was missed due to Covid limitations, the cleanliness and Covid safety measures embraced by the park gave us peace of mind, making it overall an enjoyable trip.

Food at the bar was decent, but a bit pricey. We enjoyed the government 'eat out' discount on the last day.

The whole park was clean, and there were several one-way systems and hand sanitizer stations everywhere, making it safe.
